Tom and Thayer and Dodd & Dodd are very active in the horticulture and gardening communities and participate in a variety of events relating to plants and the environment throughout the year. Tom is a third generation nurseryman with an encylopedic knowledge of flora and fauna, especially of Lower Alabama. His talks, accompanied by Thayer's slides and plants from the nursery, are informative, backed by vast experience, entertaining, and always well attended.
